How Our Bodies Are Built To Work.
OUR LYMPHATIC SYSTEM (Lymph Nodes)
Our lymph nodes are tiny little bean-shaped glands, located in various different parts of the body.
The main locations are the Neck, Groin and under our Arms. Our bodies have over 300 working to filter white blood cells and foreign bacteria.
The lymph node is a component of the lymphatic system that moves lymph node fluid, waste substance, and nutrients through out your body
bloodstream and tissues.
Each lymph node is also a major component of our immune system. Our lymph nodes filter fluids, viruses, bacteria, and other foreign particles from our bloodstream.
Then our Amazing White Blood Cells follow up by destroying the unwanted materials.
One of the main functions of lymph nodes is to filter toxins in our bloodstream by absorbing and expelling proteins, dead cells, bacteria and other waste products from the body.
However, a lack of regular exercise along with the stress and chemical intake can cause the fluid to accumulate and become harder to filter.
Research has shown that the common effects of lymphatic fluid accumulation are sagging or drooping skin, swelling, painful joints, weight gain, and cellulite.
It will also strain our immune system.
Lymph nodes may be found alone or in groups through out your body.
The main groups can be found in the following areas:
A healthy lymph node is generally not sensitive or sore to touch.
Placing a heating pad (on low) or a warm towel on your painful lymph node may reduce the pain.
Be sure to monitor the symptom as it can have an adverse effect.
In 10 to 12 year old children lymph nodes are usually much larger, as much as twice the normal size, compared to adults .
