Juicing Recipes For Lettuce

The darker the lettuce the higher concentration of nutrients. Romaine lettuce has more nutrient content than looseleaf, butterhead and iceberg. Select lettuce that is fresh and crisp.

So put down the energy drink and juice the parsley!

Pick parsley that is fresh and green. Stay away from wilted or yellow parsley. Parsley juice alone is very strong, but the good news is that you can add parsley to any juice!

Juice: 1/2 cup of parsley, 1/2 spinach and 2 tomatoes

Bell Pepper Juicing Recipes

Bell peppers are one of the most nutrient-dense vegetables that you will find, also they are packed with vitamin C. Red bell peppers also have higher levels of nutrients compared to green bell peppers. According to research, bell peppers contain substances that have been shown to prevent blood clot formation which reduces chances of heart attack and stroke.

Select fresh, firm and bright bell peppers. One thing to remember when juicing bell peppers is that organic is the way to go!

Juice: 4 parsley springs, 3 tomatoes, 1/2 green bell pepper, 1/2 cucumber, 1 scallion, 1 lemon wedge. First wrap the parsley around the tomato and add it into the juicer, then the green bell pepper, cucumber, scallion, and lemon.

Spinach juicing recipes are packed with powerful nutrients. Choose dark green and fresh spinach. Add a handful of spinach to any juice!


Sweet Potato Juicing Recipes

Sweet potato juicing recipes have vitamin B6 which breaks down homocysteine. Homocysteine is a compound that damages blood vessels. Research suggests that people with heart attacks have high levels of homocysteine in their blood vessels.

Research has shown that vitamin B6 reduces the risk of heart disease. Sweet potatoes are also packed with potassium with control blood pressure and is rich in fiber which helps you filling full! When digested, sweet potatoes have a slow digestion rate due to the fiber and complex carbohydrates which in turn stabilizes an individuals insulin levels.

Choose sweet potatoes that are firm with no signs of decay. If you prefer sweeter tasting sweet potatoes than choose darker sweet potatoes.

Juice: 1 beet with tops, 1/2 medium sweet potato, 3 carrots
Juice beet first, then yam, then carrots.


Tomato Juicing Recipes

Tomatoes have antioxidant properties due to the lycopene content. Lycopene is also responsible for tomatoes vibrant red color. Lycopene reduces chances of heart diseases and lowers cholesterol levels. Research conducted also suggests that eating tomatoes reduces macular degeneration.

Select firm and dark red tomatoes.

Juice: 4 tomatoes, 1/2 lemon, 1 scallion, and add a dash of Tabasco sauce.

Lymphoma Nation suggests that the fundamental premise behind the remedy--that tumors thrive in acidic environments and fail in alkaline environments--is unproven. Lymphoma Nation states that just because this result has been observed in test tubes, there is no reason to suggest it can be recreated in humans. Furthermore, doctors at Bringham and Women's Hospital, which is a teaching hospital associated with Harvard University, argue that diet will not have a lasting impact on the acid/base pH balance in the body, because the body self regulates its pH balance using breathing and the excretory system.

However, According to Cancer Cure.org, there are medical professionals, most notably Carl J. Reich, M.D. and Bob Barefoot, who endorse the alkaline diet as an effective alternative therapy for cancer.
